Terms and conditions

The following terms are in order to:

a. Maintain the high standards of the cars, ready for the next passengers.
b. Absolve us from delays caused by factors outside our control.
c. Offer ourselves some protection against short term cancellations.

For the first few years all worked well on trust, so we had no conditions of booking. Then there was a spate of late cancellations. Because a car cannot be in two places a one time, we have to decline further work if a booking has been accepted. If that is subsequently cancelled, especially at short notice, it is not normally possible to find another booking for both car and driver.

In relation to delays, it is our utmost aim to be at the right place at the right time. However, we do give a mobile (cell) phone number on booking, and in the event of an unforeseen delay or difficulty in meeting, it is possible to establish contact with your driver.

Therefore, we hope you will understand the need for these conditions, and accept them as part of the booking.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE

1. All charges are calculated on a round trip basis, from our base and back to base.

2. Passengers are asked to refrain from smoking, eating and drinking (with the exception of water) while in the cars.

3. Senator Travel cannot be held responsible for traffic jams and other delays, which prevent arrival at a destination after the specified time.

4. A 25% deposit is required for bookings, which is non- refundable, except in case 5 below. Passengers are recommended to have travel insurance as a precaution.

5. Senator Travel reserves the right to cancel journeys due to severe weather conditions or when police advise against travel, in which case deposits or pre-payments will be refunded.

6. Prices quoted do not include entry fees, car park charges or bridge tolls, which remain the responsibility of the client.

7. Both cars have large boots (trunks) for their class, but Senator Travel cannot be responsible for excess luggage unable to fit inside the car.
